With the clips properly overlapped, right-click the first one and choose "Select events to end". Now drag the desired transition to the first overlap. It will then be applied to all of the selected overlaps.

Thanks for the reply, is there a way to overlap all the stills at one time and make sure they are all the same?

Options -> Preferences -> Editing tab.

Check "Automatically Overlap multiple selected media when added." Set the preferences below the way you want. Voilà.

Go to

Options -> Preferences -> Editing tab

In the middel of that tab chech "Automatic overlap ..."

Underneath you set the time for overlap.

Be sure that you have "Automatic Crossfade" on the toolbar turned on.

Now select a range of stills and put them om the timeline and they have all the same crossfade length.

Thanks so much. I just got this program today, and am getting the feeling it might take me a little longer to master than I thought.

Thanks again,

I just got this program today...

In that case, I highly recommend downloading and reading all the newsletters on Edward Troxel's site.
And here's a number of Vegas links for you.
