Transitions

I'm new to this editing thing and for a first project I am just trying to put a few photos into a slide show and I'm sure the answer to these questions are simple but:
In VMS Platinum where is the option for setting the default time for a transition mine seem to be about 0.7 seconds?
When I select all and drop a transition I believe it should go between all the photos but it doesn't do it every time is there setting I should be using?
Is there an easy way to remove all the transitions in one go?

Go to Preferences, tab editing for transition length.
You have to drag a transitions for each photo, there is no auto function.
to reduce interlace flicker, you can right click on each photo, or you can select all of the photos, rightclick and select switch<reduce interlace flicker.
To make a photo last longer or shorter, just drag the edge to the right.

That's basically it for photo movies.

Thanks for the reply, I've looked in the Preferences and finally found its called " cut to overlap convertion " I was expecting it to have a label with transition in :}
