Is there a way to auto add the same transition to several stills at one time?
Also does it make a difference if your stills you save are bitmap or jpg when you produce them to dv? I mean will the quality be better if they are bitmap or jpg?

Bitmaps, such as .tif or .bmp ideally should be better because they usually use lossless compression if they're compressed at all. However, the final output resolution of DV is so low and the usuall viewing method so poor (television screen), that you can save .jpg files with very little compression and still have them be quite small in size. In other words, take your pick; it doesn't really matter much at all.
