Transitions

Does anyone know if it is possible to delete several transitions at one time in Sony 10 Platinum? I can successfully insert several transitions at one time but I've only been able to delete them individually.

Also, I am puzzled by the fact that, although under Options/ Preferences/Editing I choose Overlap multiple selected media, no fading at all appears between the clips when I play them and the clips do not appear to be overlapped on the track.

Any help would be much appreciated..

1 - select all the clips and press the \ key. This restores the default crossfade, removing any transitions you might have added.

2 - There is a button in the toolbar for auto-crosssfade. It looks like two right triangles overlapping each other. You may have turned this off. If so, turn it back on again. Note that turning it on won't create crossfades in media you added while it was off; it only creates them when you add the media while it's on.

Thanks, Chienworks. This is the second time you've helped me out. The good news is that I have now got my crossfades by making sure the automatic crossfades icon on the toolbar was selected as you pointed out. The bad news is that using the \ key does not, in my case, get rid of the transitions that I have applied to a selected set of clips - nothing happens at all. Is there anything else I could try?

Arrrrg. Sorry, my fault. It has to be the / key on the numeric keypad.

Alas, that refuses to work for me either!
