You can find a bunch of effects and transitions at www.newbluefx.com

You can look at http://www.toolfarm.com/hosts to get an idea of the wide variety of plugins for Vegas. Once you find something you like, do a bit of research to see what users think of it before you buy anything. You can also look at the Creative Cow forum to get more information.

Other options include genarts.com for sapphire effects, loads of transitions or set up your version. From memory, magic bullet looks also provides for transitions.

Theres other plugins that provide loads of options for Vegas, Depends what you want to spend, what you want to achieve.

Just re-read your thread & realize you are using Vegas 9, so don't think sapphire edge or magic bullet are options for you due to incompatibility, apologies

there's also pixelan....

but beware of cheesy transitions, they can make any production look absolutely awful, and i mean AWFUL!

And what's wrong with an ugly (and there are LOTS of them) power-point type of video :)

leslie, i just know you've had to sit through more than a few of those in days gone by.
My most "memorable" one was at a SMPTE meeting on, of all things, HDTV :(
Blood lust? Well, it's almost 9:30 a.m. here on a holiday weekend, the temp is currently 19C (66F) and heading for a high of 28 C( 82F) so life is good!!
