transparent button in menu

I whould like to put in my menue transparent button that appear just in active status

any idea?

For 2.0, click on the background then on the right you should see a panel with menu page properties. There will be 3 options: Selected button color, active button color and inactive button color. Change "selected" to "None (all transparent)" and that will leave only Activated with a color.
