Transparent GIFS for animated buttons

I've been trying DVD-A on a trial basis. So, far it looks pretty good, but I'd like to be able to use an animated GIF as a button image but not have any background (from the GIF) show up.

The animated GIF I'm using is definitely has a transparent background since dragging it into Internet Explorer does not show the background. But, dragging it into DVD-A results in the ani being surrounded by a black rectangle. Anyone figure a workaround for this??

If I could get rid of that pesky rectangle, I'd buy this product. SOFO, If this doesn't work, please consider it as a new feature request.

Another topic.... Anyone tried making their own themes?? This looks really intriquing, especially when considering the following quote from the Theme design specification :

<quote>

You can use animations (animated GIFS) or videos (AVIs, MPGs, etc) for menus, buttons or any alpha channel or mask. This allows for very interesting motion menus.

<end quote>

The prospect of using an animation in the alpha channel or mask (if it works) might indeed make some incredible effects, no?? Anyone played around with this??

GIFS - I believe it's not possible to use Transparent GIF's in this fashion.
What you need to do is take the element from your background where the button resides
and replace the background of your GIF with it. This is the only way I've seen
it to be able to work.
Also remember changing the way it selects it via "Mask overlay", rather than "Rectangle"?
Hopefully I'm on the same page as to what you're doing.
