Transparent Title

Hi,
Newby here. Just to get started on Vegas 8 I would like to be able to create a transparent title for my video. I can drop a title into a third timeline but it does not show up on the video preview. I can put it before the video, but I don't want that. I want it on top of, or transparent to, the video. Sony manual is woefully inadequate. Can anyone help.

Text on Track 1

Video on Track 2

If I have understood you correctly, you have put text on a lower track, in which case the the video above will obscure it.

Thank you. I have my video on track 1, audio on track 2 and title on track 3. This is not correct?

Yeah, and just as an aside, it is really worth getting into the mindset of Vegas:

1] Video/Graphics tracks are SEEN from the topmost track down - like layers.

2] Audio tracks don't affect the video - however multiple audio tracks add to the audio mix.
