Transparent to black masking effect??

I'm trying to create a looping video for a background for projecting lyrics to worship songs. On track one, I have a silhouette of a cross. On track two, I have another silhouette of a man. On track three, I have a moving background of some clouds. What I'm trying to do is now come up with a 'mask' to blend the lower portion of the frame with solid black to transparent at the top. The finished effect would be to have the man facing the cross with the clouds moving in the background. I can't figure out how to do this transparent top to solid black at the bottom mask. Can anyone help me?

Thanks!!!

RIck,
I played with this -- I'm not very good at it - so it's the blind leading the blind .. But I got an effect something like you want. ( I think ) ...

Use Media generators /Color gradient/linear black to transparent on top video track. You can rotate the gradient to vertical and use keyframes to gradually go vertically from black to transparent or vice versa -- Silhouettes on tracks two and three, clouds on track 4. Set track two Composite mode to multi mask. All the rest stay as Composite mode source alpha.
