transportability to other apps - omf?

I am currently working on a project that the customer 100% wants the audio to be finalized in protools - ok, fine, they are paying the bills - and I have access to a protools set-up

I have already done my rough mix in vegas, and want to transport it to protools - I have envelopes, pans & such -

I know I could render each track out as a wav and re-stack in protools, but then I would have to re-do all the envelopes & such -

I saw a tool demo @ nab for prem pro that would export the audio as an omf and you could import that into protools and it kept all the envelopes and such (kinda like a super edl) anythign like that for vegas?

Vegas 6 supports AAF exporting and Pro Tools Digitranslator tool with open this (in fact, Pro Tools may open these natively and may only require the translator to write to AAF and OMF) and I also use EDL Convert Pro for OMF conversion to and from Vegas.

Here's the thing: envelopes and volume info is NOT passed through. Event fades are passed through, but I don't know how reliable this is. I was just given a short film to master where the audio was exported from Final Cut Pro as an OMF. All the work they had done internally was ignored when I got it. I had to essentially re-mix the whole thing just to get it back to where they had it because nothing was cooked into the files.

So, the long and the short of it is, yes you can transfer all your edits from one platform to another but getting entire mix iformation from one to the other is another story. If someone knows how to do this, please let me know!
