Trapcode Plugins for Vegas - C'mon... PLEASE!!!!

FrigidNDEditing wrote on 2/21/2005, 5:25 PM
Hey, They make Plugins for Adobe premier, AE, and combustion. Why not Vegas!!!

Their shine is better than the one Sony gives me (too - Solid of a light in Sony's IMO)

And they have other plugins that are mighty nice.

Is vegas not capable of using it? or do they just not pay attention to Vegas?

You'll have to bug the guys at Trapcode. I've been bugging them for a few years. Get on them, maybe a few more voices will sway them. They can be ported to Vegas if they want to do it.

Yes, Trapcode and Tinderbox plug ins would be nice....

I hate asking this but....Does FCP support After Effects plug ins ?
Spot|DSE wrote on 2/21/2005, 6:29 PM
Yeah, there is a plugin for FCP that allows it to use most AE plugs. It's called "Automatic Duck." We've talked to the owner of AD to get him to port it to Vegas, with luck he'll see the tremendous growth of Vegas users and port it.

That would rock.
Having access to all AE or photoshop filters would be awesome.

You know - at the rate trapcodes shine is being abused it's turning into this decades star wipe:)

AMEN to that!!
Seriously guys, send mail to Wes at Automatic Duck if you want to see it port into Vegas. It would slow Vegas down significantly, but what could be slower than Magic Bullet?

I like that.....what can be slower than a magic bullet ???

>>>Having access to all AE or photoshop filters would be awesome.<<<

Get on Satish again. The Photoshop part was underway with Wax 2 - it worked, and it didn't. Depended on the plug-in, but it was very cool. He was working on an AE adapter - but I guess when Red GL came out with Vegas support he stopped work on it. Why? Red GL does accept AE plugs - so if you want to spend a few grand to be able to use AE plugs Red GL is a pretty good start.

On the other hand Wax:

Has native support for Plugin Adapter technology - can load and use VirtualDub filters, DirectX plugins and Windows ® Movie Maker presets inside Wax or your NLE when using Wax as a plugin

I always thought one of the odd ball things about Vegas was it had/has support for DX *video* plugs. Problem is not too many developers make them. So if you like some of the plugs in Vegas, with Wax you can use them. But I don't know than many people who have asked for Vegas plugs to be be ported over to other setups.

Anyhow - lets bug Satish again and see about getting more development on AE adapter for Vegas. Haven't heard from him in a long while in these parts either.

multiple instances of magic bullet being rendered at the same time could possibly be slower.

Just because something's overused - doesn't mean that it's not good, nor does it mean that it's not usefull.

BTW, I have had a ton of problems with the WAX plugins - something's work, otheres crash my sytem like a test dummy behind the keyboard. Anyone else have any experiences with this problem?

I already did bug them
But I encourage everyone else who wants to see it done, to "bug" them too.
