Trapezoids and other shapes...

Hi all,

Am I missing something easy? In the properties of a video clip, I'm trying to drag the 8 edges of the image frame so that I can get a trapezoid ... that is I want the image to move aside like a swinging door, in perspective.

Like this (the ascii diagram didn't like my backslashes, so this is the best I can do):

I can get a parallelogram and various turns and angles (with aspect ratio and other protective measures turned off), but I can't find the option to drag the corner points so the sides don't stay parallel.

So then, a related question. Does VF support plugins for FX and transitions? If so, has anybody written any? Or know where they might be available?

It looks like VF is plugin-ready based on how the FX and transitions libraries are show.

I suppose VF must support plugins (though not audio ones) since that's how I got the 'Cookie Cutter'. I don't know where you can get them, but there's a plugin developer's kit on the SoFo web site if you fancy writing your own.

VF doesn't support any plugins except the for the ones Sonic Foundry provides. It's a shame that it doesn't. I would make a product suggestion that VF 3 support 3rd party plugins.
