Trial Version of New Blue Pro Titler

I downloaded the trial version 11 but I don't see the NewBlue Pro Titler. I went to newblues website and downloaded it separately but upon installation it wants a serial number. Is there a way to try the new titler?

An easy to use pro titler would be a good reason to upgrade. I currently use Bluff Titler and AE for fancy titles but would love a good titler locked right into Vegas.

I agree - a TRIAL would be nice.

Unfortunately, there is none available AFAIK.

The NewBlue Titler Pro requires the serial number you receive after purchasing Vegas Pro 11 in order for the install to be completed. There will be a full retail version soon that could be used as a trial but as of right now there is not trial version.

I upgraded over the weekend. Haven't had much time to explore yet, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that Vegas Pro 11 and NB Titler Pro function on my older, wimpy Dell 1420. Okay it's not super fast, but so far no errors or crashes . . . hope this statement doesn't jinx it : )

Observations on the titling and text tools:

Sony Pro Titler is as obtuse as ever. It has a bunch of new presets. I've spent hours trying to learn how to use this, but never became proficient.

Sony Titles & Text looks suspiciously like Sony Pro Titler, and has all the new presets found in Pro Titler. BUT it's pretty intuitive and you don't have to be Wiley Coyote, Super Genius, in order to use it! Good for quick, simple text and titles.

New Blue Titler Pro is impressive and not too difficult to use. I need to watch the tutorial on the NB website again to get the finer points. I trialed Bluff Titler before upgrading. If you are used to layers I think NB should be easy for you. I have other NB plug-ins so I like the NB and feel more than Bluff, but that is subjective.

I upgraded with the hope the NB Titler Pro would run on my computer, and for now it does. Of course the new functionality in Vegas will be nice, but it was the improved titler tools that I wanted. Thanks for the hard work Sony and NewBlue!

Kimberly

Went ahead and upgraded. NB Pro Titler seems OK but they cleverly left out a lot of content as far as I can tell. If you want more presets, they have a button you push which opens up their website to sell you more stuff - not happy about that. I would think they would give you everything right up front, it seems to be a "lite" version of NBPT.

The presets are under the Library tab. You can preview each and drag one or more over to your text. If you are happy with the results, then you can save THAT as your own preset. I've only worked with the NB Titler a little, but I get the feeling that's how it works.
