Mine always goes to the end, but I don't think there's a way to change it.

How so?

I don't really care one way or the other but I suppose that if the cursor goes to the end of the event I just added then everything is ready for me to add another clip after it. Seems like a design decision to keep people from continuously adding clips on top of each other, which is what happens when you use shift+a repeatedly.

Exactly
You can add up to/from cursor if you'd prefer, but the logical add is from end of last event or where cursor is placed.
I'm curious about your workflow where you feel otherwise. Are you stacking events for compositing?

Hi Spot,
I am refering to the curser in the trimmer window where it jumps to the start of the previously selected event, as though it is ready to go for looping should you wish. I wish it would stay at the end so that I do not have to view the same sellected event again before continueing with my next selection in the trimmer window.

For the life of me I can't get the trimmer to do that. The play head just stays where I leave it in the trimmer.

Hi Rob,
There has to be a setting somewhere , I'm sure mine must have stayed at the end of the selection as well originaly. A quiry for the Sony people I think.

Seems like it. Maybe something like "Collapse Loop Region" or something?
