Trimmer functions missing in Vegas 8.1

G'Day all
I just recently purchased a new editing system with 64bit operating system and take advantage of this I did an upgrade from Vegas 8.0c to 8.1 and when I opened the trimmer window in Vegas the extra functions were not there (Show video monitor and Enable timeline overwrite) I thought these extra bits were handy for my work flow because I could use the Trimmer as a source monitor. Any help on how to to bring these functions back would be much appreciated.

First of all it's good to hear that you like and want those features.

The features were added to Vegas in a late revision of 8.0. Probably 8.0c. They didn't get into Vegas 8.1 but they're present in the 64-bit version of Vegas 9.

Correct - those options were added in 8.0c for the 32-bit version. 8.1 is based on 8.0b and did not get those new options.

Looks like you gotta drop a little more $$ to get those sought after features but I'd hold out till they sort out the v9 Text issue.

Hopefully you're used to the v8 Trimmer workflow and are NOT looking for the Trimmer to behave like other NLE's 'Source' monitors as far as 3point editing as the 'Trimmer' is still NOT there.

Thanks for the heads up guys, I didn't realize that 8.1 came out before 8c. Looks like its V9 to get the extra features along with 64 bit. But that's for another day.
