Now you've lost me. You've figured out a way to have more than one trimmer open in one instance of Vegas?
Or are you referring to sharing two instances Trimmers and pasting from one instance to the other?

Instance 1 [ I1 ] : Trimmer

Instance 2 [ I2 ] : No Trimmer

1/- I1 : From within Trimmer > Select Loop section > Rt Click > Copy

2/- Alt+Tab to I2

3/- Paste!

I've now taken a Trimmer selection from Instance 1 and pasted this into Instance 2. This has been great for me to "collect" stuff via trimmer and NOT needing to go to I1 T/L. This has given me even more edit control over the "selection" of bits 'n pieces. Very quick, very fluid and keeps me working in a rhythm - yes? I2 becomes a kinda "Child" collation "scratch pad" or "doodling pad" for ideas and building. I like this!

Grazie

Whew! I'm glad this one wasn't as cryptic as the other one.

How would you know? g

Because it didn't take a 24 post thread to explain what should be relatively easy to understand information. That's how I'd know. :-)

Grazie,

Can you go into more detail? Is this a project where you would normally work in two instances of Vegas? The advantage of this is that you are less likely to screw up the timeline you are working in?

"Is this a project where you would normally work in two instances of Vegas?" - yes, if you wish.

. .. but . .. .

"The advantage of this is that you are less likely to screw up the timeline you are working in?" YES! That's the one.

Pilling up ideas from a project into a "scratch" pad kinda project . .. Scrub Copy Paste . . .I was surprised the ease and fluidity of doing this approach. AND at the end of the day, you are assembling in the same way that your final "viewer" may actually see the video. . see what I mean? Anything that keeps the action and ideas flowing has GOT to be good. This is where I think Vegas gets its head . .. just scrub, copy and paste . . scrub, copy and paste . . .

Grazie
