Trimmer stutters in 6.0b

I have this weird problem when playing clips in the trimmer in 6.0b. These are straight AVI files captured from the camera. I start playing the clip, and it seems like every second the trimmer gives a little "pause" - you can hear the audio sorta drop out and the picture momentarily freezes. I'm displaying in the preview window, set to "Preview Auto" mode. The Preview window is set to 360x240, and it shows a solid 29.97 fps. External firewire preview is off. I can open the exact same clip in Vegas 5, and it plays fine in the trimmer, no stuttering. In fact, I can have them both open side-by-side, and it stutters in 6.0b, and not in 5.0d, so I know it's not something else currently running that's causing a holdup. And, I can drag the avi file to the timeline, and it plays fine there.

Anybody else have this problem?

Ok, here's another piece of information: all the clips where I see this hesitation in the trimmer every second were captured in DV Rack. I don't see the hesitation in clips captured from a tape. And, again, I see no hesitation at all in the trimmer in Vegas 5.0d.

Hmmm... I wondering if this should be added to the list of 1/3 Party acquistion/render issues? I can no longer ExtMon my SteadyHand AVI files in Vegas 6b - Vegas 4 and 5 have no problem handing these over to ExtMon. Stuttering in Trimmer of Rack captured files? I'm now going to see if I get stuttering in trimeer of my SteadyHand files. This is new to me.

We would need somebody else to repro this using Rack? Yes?
