Trimmer video preview gone?

Gentlemen-
I have posted this before, and can't find the thread. It appears my trimmer video preview is gone and I can't figure out where it went. I have right clicked and clicked every box, but all I get is a full preview of the audio waveform. Anyone know what i have done wrong?

I got it back by going back to default layout. But does anyone know how it dissapears in the first place?
