Trimmer Weirdness

jkrepner wrote on 11/18/2004, 8:24 AM
Sometimes when I'm setting the in/outs in the trimmer window, it's as if the mouse button is stuck and won't let go of the trimmer head when I try to highlight a section of video. I have to right click for it to let go. It doesn't do it all the time. Could it be a USB conflict or something? (Vegas 5, Dell, USB mouse)

Thanks in advance.

Finally! Someone else with the same problem. I think it's a bug. As you say it doesn't appear to be consistant.

Oh great. It didn't happen with 4.

Which version and peripherals are you using?

I have a dell 350 workstation
Dell branded Logich USB optical mouse
USB keyboard
USB Countor shuttle
USB hub
USB Dongle

I think I'll try to hook the mouse directly to the PC, not through the USB hub, to see if that changes anything. I think I might have added the hub about the same time I went to 5.

you mean it's a bug? i thought it was some kind of bastard vegas "feature", and i was just too dumb to figure out how it was supposed to work, lol.

thanks for the link to the thread on this problem, i'm kinda wondering why all these vegas weenies haven't weighed in with a fix for this issue.

Has happened to me twice in two days. If it starts. Immediately save, close Vegas and re-open. Works for me.

Thanks guys for the replies and links about this wonderful new "feature." It happens to me a heck of a lot and I use the f****ing Trim Reaper very often. If this is a known problem - why is it not fixed?

I can't believe other people haven't experienced this.
