New to this and I am having trouble trying to trim a small clip from a video in Movie Studio 15 (not platinum with its trim feature) After I get the clip I try to make a movie and it renders the whole video up to the clipped part also. The clip is 15 sec and the rendering is 32 min . not sure what I am doing wrong. BTW I am cutting in the time line.
I don't know what MS15 basic doesn't have compared to Platinum but it appears you either need to:
1 - Delete the unwanted part before rendering but make sure the remainder is moved to the start of the timeline, either manually by dragging it or by using Rippling
or
2 - Select the clip area and when rendering go into Advanced Options and in the drop down Render Options select "Render Loop Region Only".
The thing I noticed from watching the tutorial was the basic doesn't have the trimming function so you can edit it without putting it on the time line. I will try your suggestions. Thanks
Just tried again...was deleting before and after but this time it moved to the start where yesterday I don't remember it doing that ....think it worked this time.
