I don't know it just me but sometimes when I trim a video, it mute my video. Only the video came with the audio gets muted. Undoing the trim fixes itself. Anyone know why that happens?
@Pyrodragnix You need to describe the problem in more detail. Also, can you create a screen cast of the sequence of events? We need to see what's actually happening in order to give any advice.
That's very odd indeed, as i know of no setting that would accidentally cause this. As the two responses you received has asked for you to provide detailed info, also let us know if this is happening in the new Vegas Pro 20....
@xberk No, there is no option for directly muting a video event (only at the track level), but it can be done directly to an audio event.
However what can be happening is that the Opacity Leveler that is located at the top of a video event is being dragged to the bottom (0%), giving the impression that it is muted.

The OP seems to be describing "muting" an event vs "muting" a track. Can you "Mute" an event?
@Former user Thanks. Before I posted my question, I looked in the Vegas Help under "mute" and couldn't find a thing to "mute" a single event. Generally I can find things in Vegas help -- but if not, then here in the Forum. I'm still learning Vegas after 15 years. Again, thanks!
I can't recall EVER muting just a single event. But it seems just about nothing else will mute a single event, save this "switch". Mystery to me what the OP is doing to cause the "mute".

@xberk Life would be boring if we knew everything 😁 I found the mute keyboard shortcut ' / ' a while ago by accident 😂 Why trimming the video would mute the audio i can't find an answer to, but I wonder if it does mute on the OP's timeline or does it loose it's audio data/sync/link...,,
So in detail what I did. Open the file and delete one of three tracks because it is the empty audio track. After that, delete the first track because I have edited audio version for my mic. Place the new audio and then group then together. I trim the end track about a second because it makes a noise after I stop recording. That when the mute happens. The second audio track goes in mute. I undo and my audio comes back. It only happens once, though. . I haven't had this problem.
