trouble capturing DVD

I'm trying to capture a homemade DVD.

I first opened the DVD in the explorer window and went to the VIDEO_TS folder. There I found five files that eneded in .VOB I was able to drag 4 of them to the editing track but couldn't with the last one. I kept getting an error message.

I then tried to use the import DVD option from the file menu. I get a window to choose source and destination. When I click OK the folder is created for the destination but nothing is put in it.

Any ideas why I can get the last VOB file to transfer? The other four transfered great. Also, has anyone else run into a homemade DVD that wouldn't transfer via the import DVD option?

Thanks in advance for your ideas!

I had the same problem. Someone suggested first copying the dvd to the harddrive and then to 'import' the file in VMS. It should work, like that.

I put the source DVD on the hard drive and still have the same issue. The software is able to id and use the first four VOB files, but the last one comes up as type unknown. Capture DVD creates a folder but puts nothing in it, even when using the source DVD folder I created on the hard drive :(
