Trouble downloading Vegas Audio 2.0b

mcm wrote on 10/12/2000, 5:33 PM
I'm running Internet Explorer 5.0 and every time I try to
download the VA2.0b update at some point in the download I
get "Internet Exployer can not down load File . . . The
Operation Timed Out". Sometimes I get 10meg, 3meg, 15meg
but it never finishes. I'm trying to find out if it's SF's
server, my server, or my computer. I've never tried to
downloaded a file this large before but have done 7megs
with no problem. Thank you, mcm

It could be anyone of the three things that you've mentioned. The
best thing to do is invest in a program like "Get rite" it allows
you to resume downloading if your connection gets lost, and that's if
the site you're downloading from allows resuming, which SF does.

Speaking of Nuendo again!!
How about the AES show where each day nuendo crashed and the final
day of the show they were using only a screen shot with on lookers
showing disbelief in such a great product.Does it work is our
question now.We were there as the 30 some steinberg monkeys looked
like death had come to Nuendo town. And the quote of the show from the
show at the Nuendo booth was"This version is more stable ."
All of these guys who are apart of the creation could not get humpty
back together again. And all the folks who raised there hands with
questions did not to because they ran off as soon as it was over.I
only hope you did not sink all your dough into the cousin of pro
tools.Software?NAHHH..we sell hardware!!
A dissapointment indeed.I actually looked forward to seeing this
work.Does it???

Try the demo.
OOOOOPPPS...no demo!
Save your money.
Dimitri was anice guy though.
Software wars...coming soon to a theatre near you.

Yeah, I noticed this one too. I simultaneously recorded 10 Tracks,
and all the wave forms drew out, then when I stopped recording after
4 minutes, Vegas had to take the time to go back and redraw the
waveforms, seems like it had already done this once?
