I cant install Vegas Pro 9 64bit on my new Win7 machine and keep getting "Please make sure you have local system administrator privileges on this system". Is this a common hitch with 64bit? I can't find a fix on the net for it, so wondered if there is a work around.
Yes, I am running the 64 bit version. I'm just wondering if the company that built the computer put in a network password without telling me, as I am also unable to network to my other computer - keep getting asked for a password. Any way of finding out the password then deleting it?
Al - here's an article in the Knowledge base that might help. Kind of gets technical so you might want to check with the company that built your computer (and I assume loaded Win7 for you.)
Hi Bud - I'm not that well up on networking. So how do I go about setting the same work group for two computers? Is a workgroup the same as a home group?
In Win7 Homegroups are diff than workgroups.
Use Win7 help. Search under "Homegroup" Follow the FAQ about homegroups. It has links to "leave" a homegroup etc. I don't think you want a homegroup as they only work between Win7 machines. If you only have one Win7 system, homegroups are useless. Workgroups will still network between XP and Vista and Win7 machines.
Use Win7 Help. Search under "Workgroup" and follow the instructions to see what your Workgroup is and how to change it.
