Troubling Rendering Problem

Guys,

I have rendered a number of movies with no problem.

My problem is that for my current movie I am working on, when conducting rendering, VV actually PAUSES during rendering. When I mean pause, I mean that it gets about 34% of the way in, and then VV actually pauses. The system is fine, i still have hard disk room....it's just very bizzare and hasn't happened to me before.

The only difference is, I am rendering the video in BEST format as opposed to GOOD format. Any ideas why VV is pausing on me???

Just a guess that Windows may be flushing the paging file.

Do you have lots of hard drive activity when Vegas pauses?

no...I don't think so...

I usually let the rendering process happen when I head to work (in the am), so that it's ready for me to mess around with in the pm.

It's also the second time that it craps out at 34% when using the BEST resolution. Meanwhile, I can render video in the GOOD resolution with no problem.

What gives guys???
