Try again: can we cut the crap?

SINCE WE HAD SO MANY VVIDEO USERS WHO COULD NOT QUITE GRASP THE QUESTIONS AT HAND, BUT ONLY TAKE CHICKEN-SH*T POTSHOTS AT THE ORIGINAL POSTER (DUE TO THEIR FRUSTRATION IN INABILITY TO ANSWER ANY OF THE QUESTIONS) WE'LL START A NEW THREAD.

Any SF tech care to respond?
Note: I'm not saying I hate Vegas Video (I like it - really I do).
No - I'm asking about this in lieu of the many Vegas Audio users out there who may want to know the answers to these questions.

so.......

Lot of questions still stand.
I'm still wondering why nobody is insisting on getting answers on the following:

Why can't SF admit that Vegas Audio 3 isn't going to happen?

or for that matter...why can't SF confirm it will?

What. SF, are you guys asleep at all the meetings?
Do you have these sorts of meetings?

Note:
There are persons who can handle the details like this. They are called "program managers"...they manage the process of completing a program\version. Might wanna look into hiring one of these guys(?).

Other why's\what's:

- why isn't the ability to burn in CDarchitect fashion immediatley being offered to Vegas Audio users in an update?...like yesterday?
Vegas Video users can do this..but BEGAS AUDIO USERS CANNOT?
What have you guys been smoking in those meetings?...and can I get a drag (see if it helps me understand the plan of attack here)?

- even better, why isn't it just implemented into SF 5...the editor one might use before the burn? (ding-ding)

- Let's assume Vegas Audio 3 will exist....(hurumph)...what exactly will VA3 offer over VV3? If you can't answer these questions...then I ask... WHY NOT?
If YOU don't know this...WHO would?
This isn't plans for the new star wars missle defense...it's an audio tracker.

- What, in the name of GOD and all that is holy, is the reason for not splitting Vegas Audio from Vegas Video users in the forum? (or does one of the above questions already answer that?). It literally takes a few minutes.
Would you like me to do it for you (for free)?

I'm sorry, but these are rather EASY and STRAIGHT FORWARD questions any company can and would answer. Does anybody agree with that statement at least?

Ok - I've been a good little SF user and supporter for quite some time, but what I'm seeing now is really some of the goofiest project planning ever known to the biz.
Tell ya what, instead of shooting one foot SF...why not just cut them both off?

Yep. A lotta questions to answer,

JoeD

JoeD, did you read ANY of the responses to your previous post at all?

Assuming Vegas Audio 3 ever exists, it will offer ABSOLUTELY NOTHING that Vegas Video 3 doesn't have. NOTHING. period. Any audio features added to VA will also be in VV.

If you want the "long waited" upgrade to VA2, go get VV3. That's it. Sonic Foundry was even nice enough to offer YOU a $149.95 upgrade, and even told YOU that you should go for it even if you don't need the video features because that was the best deal you were going to get.

It is rather obvious that the "D" in Joey D stands for doofus. Just check his posting history. He's been doing nothing but complaining going way back and has offered nothing constructive to the forums. The real question is when will Joey D cut HIS crap?

Need for the most basic of basic questions answered = YES

No, read again (this is the 3rd time with this...you would think you would "get it " by now). PLEASE - NO RESPONSES FROM VEGAS VIDEO OWNERS AS THEY OBVIOUSLY DON'T GET THE QUESTIONS.

I'LL MAKE IT EASIER FOR YOU.
THE FOLLOWING APPLIES TO CURRENT VEGAS AUDIO OWNERS ONLY:

After the fact that many SF users paid top price for your product (roughly $500-600.00 pricetag - pre knowledge of anything vvideo btw), why isn't SF offering the audio features available in VVideo to Vaudio users via a patch/update?

How about that question (we'll start one by one if it helps grasp any of this)?

We'll follow up with the other questions as soon as the morons (prior reponders) leave and SF takes a shot at this basic question.

JoeD:
You are very astute in the value you place on the audio enhancements implemented in VV30. A person as bright as you must also realize that SF won't give those enhancements free to VA users for the same reason they could not give them free to VV20 users. They need to realize a profit on their development costs. It'$ what keep$ them in bui$ine$$. It'$ what grea$e$ the wheel$. It'$ what occupie$ much of the conver$ation during tho$e meeting$ you were ranting about.

If I were you, I'd stop wasting time ranting in vain here, and go out, bite the bullet, and purchase VV30. You will be amazed, you won't be sorry, and, best of all, you won't get banned from this board.

Banned...
Hmmm...

I've spent enough on Vaudio updates (like many others)...
I've spent enough on foundry updates (like many others)...

The audio updates I'm asking about are meager at best (in comparison that all VVideo offers). I don't feel I'm out of bounds in stepping up and asking why.

Banned.

I rarely post here. My posts are NOT bashings of SF products as one SF tech would have you believe. Some are bugs that I have helped SF repro and test in early product releases.

I can honestly say after I get an honest answer as to why from SF...I will not be posting here.

Banned.
hmmm. Interesting SF.
Very telling

JoeD, i use Vegas Audio 3.0. Yes, you heard me right. Vegas Audio 3.0. How did i get it, you ask? Simple. I upgraded to Vegas Video 3.0 and there it was ... Vegas Audio 3.0 in the same package. Cool. :)

You want the new audio features? Upgrade to Vegas 3.0 (hey, let's just forget the Audio/Video names with 3.0; Vegas is back to a single unified product.) You want those features for free? (pardon me while i laugh for a bit ...) Repeat after me ... the new features are an upgrade, not a patch. Vegas Video 2.0 users didn't get the new audio features for free. They had to upgrade. Vegas Audio 2.0 users may get the new features by upgrading too.

Now, if you can't understand that, then you need to figure it out and understand it before you post again. We've explained this to you time and time again. In your very next post, acknowledge that the new features are an upgrade, not a patch, and we can continue having this discussion. If you don't acknowlege that then you're showing us all how much you don't understand your own questions. If you don't like that, then maybe Vegas isn't the product for you.

So now, grow up and use some thought before you post again. And repeat after me ... the new audio features are an upgrade, not a patch ...

Read my replies.

You're shouting "it's an upgrade" isn't changing anything for one. And two, you obviously do not understand any of what I have said in my posts. I don't know if you're not reading it...or what....I dunno.
This is where OUR conversation ends.

I encourage you to first take remedial english, then visit the CD arch forum and read and ask away baby. Then visit the Forge forum.
You'll learn something new.

Simply repeating the same thing over and over while gliding over the arguments isn't going to change minds.

You say "it's an upgrade!!!"
I say "You're a sucker!! it's NOT an upgrade - it's an outrage !!"
(and in circles we go)

Now excuse me while I laugh.
