Trying Swish...Suggestions

I am trying a demo of Swish to generate interesting text treatments in Vegas. As mentioned, the flash files come in nicely with their alpha channels all set. I, like other forum writers, seem to notice the pixelation and fuzziness to the text edges.

Is there anyway to minimize the artifacts in the imported swf files? Should one use larger scaled fonts?

Is After Effects a better engine to import swf than Vegas?

Thanks. I think these programs offer great text treatments. Nonetheless, if they look blurry then it's not worth it.

My suggestion would be to save directly to AVI at full frame size from Swish, then use this .avi file in Vegas. Swish's AVI rendering seems to be crystal clear. The added benefit is that Vegas won't be bogged down processing the .swf file every time it plays.

Is it possible to include an alpha channel when rendering to AVI in Swish?

Have you tried rendering them out at various settings to see how the final product looks. I remember the Sony engineers saying the results should be very good as the swf files are vector based and therefore pretty well infinitely scalable.
Based on that any defects that you are seeing would be from Vegas's rasterisation but the result may depend on a number of options just as it does with Vegas's own generated text.
