Tsunami problems

I was trying to use extract clips today on a 2 hr project. Must have done something wrong and got this error...Error..specified argument was out of the range of valid values. paramter name -2 is not a valid value for index. I was not able to access the Tsunami script on the toolbar. tried reloading the script on a different hotkey with a fresh Tsunami download. Deleted the Tsunami program and vegas video 4e.. reloaded and I get the same dam error... I am extremely frustrated and need to move on this project. Any advice will be most welcome.. I am using a Dell 360 workstation with XP professional and, 3 gig precessor and 1` g of ram ...JOHN

I frequently use Extract Good Clips without problem. I do use the Region option instead of the "MC" option but have tested both. If you have a project on which it has problems, send me the VEG file at the e-mail address in the manual and I'll see if I can duplicate the problem.

Tsunami CANNOT and WILL NOT do anything to Vegas OR the OS. A resinstall is NOT necessary.

I can give better direct response via e-mail. Plus there are times when I'm offline for over 2 hours for things like work, sleep, and food. Send me the VEG file and exactly the steps you are using and I'll try to duplicate the problem.

the clip that screwed everything up was the captured AVI file that I put on the time line and started to extract files.. on came the error as noted and then the script couldnt be accessed because of the error. Im just trying to start fresh again...but as noted a vegas4e reintall and Tsunami reinstall doesnt help.. I dont want to dump the hard drive. JOHN

So are you saying that the script will not even run at this point? I guarantee that the script cannot do something that drastic to Vegas. One thing you haven't mentioned trying to reinstall is the .NET Framework. That may also help bring scripting back.

Just wanted to let the group know how helpful Ed Troxel (jetdv) was in resolving my problem with Tsunami.. For the naysayers out there putting down Ed, Gary Kleiner and other plug in VV writers because they charge a small amount for their products.....you couldnt be more wrong.. These guys are a class act and are a major asset to this forum and the vegas community for sharing their time and expertise. From looking at Eds web page...he has a videography business and believe me, Im sure he can make a lot more money doing event video work rather than helping guys less knowledgable like myself... Again thanks Ed.

My problem was in the ini file and by renaming the file I was up and running in a short period of time thanks to Ed. JOHN
