The update for Tsunami compatible with both 4.0d and 4.0e is now available. Just log into http://zenote.com/check_serial.asp and click download to get the new version.
Followed your link to get the update but nothing. This sends me to a 'check serial' page where there are no products listed. I don't see anything Tsunami to download except a Demo Version.
Are we supposed to download the Demo Version for the update?
You have to log in and *may* need to hit refresh. By logging in it should show all products purchased through Zenote. Then just click on the "Download" button (NOT "downloads" in the menu below the word Zenote - an actual BUTTON labeled "Download")
No, the Demo is NOT the update - it's the DEMO. While the bulk of the code is the same, the demo expires.
HHmmmm...
When I log in, it shows me the products I'm invited to buy, instead of the one (Tsunami) I've already bought.
Hitting "refresh" doesn't change that.
Not urgent, because I'm not going from Vegas 4.0d to 4.0e, since 4.0e is only a re-branding release. But I'm addressing this now to save myself future grief when Vegas has a "real" upgrade and I might also need to upgrade my Tsunami.
Dude... this does not work for me. I have been trying and trying but NOTHING. It doesn't even show me anything to download. It shows me purchases that's for sure. But no downloads... except the Demo.
Page Cannot Be Displayed when I try to retrieve my password. Has anyone been succesful in downloading this update?
Yes. Went to the link supplied. Entered my name and password. Went straight to a download page with my serial number, an install password, and a DOWNLOAD button. Copied my password, clicked, downloaded, opened and installed. About 60 seconds. DGrob
What gives? I have not been able to install the update to Tsunami. I have been eMailing back and forth with Zenote support about it. Although they are trying to help me, they are really frustrating me. I just sent them my 4th eMail. Yes, eMail #4 and we still have not resolved the issue. Maybe this is why we go to companies like BORIS, PIXELAN, and DeBUGMODE. I have to say, Satish... I have never had a problem with any of your products. Only wish I could say that for some of the other guys that are trying to follow in your footsteps.
Here is my last eMail to Zenote support:
----------------------------------------------------
Please take note that it does not show me a serial number or a product even after hitting the refresh button in my browser. You guys sent me a link that downloaded the installation file to my computer but it asks me for a password when I’m trying to install it. I assure you that I have done all that you have asked me to do, but I still do not see a serial number or a download button or anything that will allow me to update my Tsunami to be compatible with VEGAS 4e.
Once again, I am enclosing our correspondence along with the proof that I purchased Tsunami. Maybe my case is the only one like this. Then again in reading the VEGAS forums I have to believe that I am not. Please, is there an alternate way for me to install the Tsunami update? Is there a way to retrieve my serial # from your database?
Please let’s find a resolution for this. Although I do enjoy corresponding with fellow editors, I hate repeating the same process over and over/ explaining myself over and over/ getting frustrated over and over. Please, is there an alternate way to resolve this?
Thank you for such and awesome plug-in. Thank you for your help and support. Thank you for resolving this issue. Despite all the problems I am having, I continue to recommend your products and pass along the word about you and your work.
----------------------------------------------------
Please check your e-mail which I hope will resolve your issue.
There have been a handful of people that have experienced problems with updating at the Zenote site. I have tried to resolve every issue that has been brought to my attention. The update requires following the instructions from the original e-mail. In some cases, that original e-mail was lost so they no longer had the password. In other cases, the Zenote site is not displaying the "download" button.
I WILL work to resolve any issues anyone has with receiving the update.
I too am having problems with downloading the update for Tsunami -- purchased 8/19/03, SN#53-0144-69-0101, haven't tried updating Excalibur yet, but just switched to Vegas4e because of the following--
Installed something that got me the following Vegas4d error message
****************************
Two different copies of MSCOREE.DLL have been loaded.
First copy:
<unknown>
Second copy:
C:WINNT\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v.1.1.4322\mscorwks.dll
This is typically caused by having a registered MSCOREE.DLL that is different
from the one that is statically linked with the application.
**************************************************
Seeing your earlier posts to Rogueone, I tried the following:
Deleted all copies of mscoree.dll
uninstalled/reinstalled Microsoft.NET
then uninstalled/reinstalled Vegas 4d
---------
Result: No joy. After cleaning registry, and multiple reinstalls of Microsoft.NET 1.1 and Vegas4d, I decided to try installing Vegas4e to see if there might be any change. Same error message.
Everytime I reinstall Microsoft.NET and do a search, I find multiple copies of mscoree.dll in C:\WINNT\system32 152KB DateModified:2/20/2003 7:06PM
mscoree.dll in C:\WINNT\system32\URTemp 152KB DM:2/20/2003 7:06PM
and mscoree.dll.local in C:\WINNT\system32\URTTemp 0KB 12/8/2003 11:24PM.
Of course I'm in the middle of a big job and desperately need to get scripting working, Vegas4e reinstalled, and Tsunami and Excalibur updated for Vegas4e.
Thanks for this and ALL your help, Ed. You are a gift to this community.
Sounds like your system has really gotten confused. Unfortunately, it sounds like the BEST bet in this case would be a full resetting of the system. Start with a fresh install of the OS, then install the .NET Framework, then install Vegas 4.0d or 4.0e.
If you have recovery disks that came with your system, those could be used as well to reset your system. The number of additional apps you have installed will directly determine the amount of "pain" in this process. However, it's probably the most "guaranteed" solution to the problem.
