turn off overlays?

I just downloaded the platinum version of studio and was clicking on various things. I clicked on overlays right above the preview screen and now I can't get rid of the overlays. Any idea how to do that?

I just tried to duplicate what you are doing, but the overlay button didn't stick. I click on overlays, then click it again to un-select it. I have the drop-down attached to it set to "Safe Areas".

Maybe go into Options -> Preferences and click on [default all]. Maybe (?) this might re-set some screen settings.

Did you try to unselect it by clicking the grid icon or by toggling the selected overlay in the drop down? The first way works, the second doesn't.
