Hi Billyboy. I enjoyed that tutorial. I knew the basics of panning/zooming and track motion but It never occurred to me to use multiple tracks to get more interesting effects out of a single picture. Thanks.

Billyboy: This is probably a very unusual request, but is there anyway that I could actually download the .veg files you used for the " Intermediate Keyframing" and "More Advancd Keyframing" tutorials. I've printed out and read the tutorials and loved the effects. However , when I use my own class picture and follow the instructions step by step, mine never looks as good as yours. It would really help if I could actually see how evertyhing is set up in the .veg file. I know this is asking alot of you, but I think having the .veg file will help. I really do appreciate all of your input in this forum. As a new user, you have helped me tremendously. Us newbies are very fortunate to have you around in our coner.

Sincerely,
Lori J.

Another excellent tutorial. What is really spooky for me is looking at your grade school class photo. I have eight photos, also by Heren, that look almost identical. I could swear I know some of the people in that photo. I grew up in River Forest, and Oak Park, IL. Are you from around there?

Well at the time at I lived on the Southwest side around 59th/ Kedzie in Chicago. So who knows, you're weren't that far away. If that location doesn't pin it down, about two miles East of Midway Airport.

I was trying to remember some of my school mates too. Only can recall about a third of the names. I was looking for some old phonograph records and the school pictures just fell out of the stereo cabinet. Ah... that's where I put them. LOL!

Lori, I didn't save the first veg, the second one just overwrote the first. I do that all the time when I'm just messing around.

I can you a copy of the 2nd one if you want to exchange emails. If you want send me your class photo and I'll start the first couple positions and then you can take it from there..

Funny, I was thinking of reorganizing the tutorials myself, but I just thought oh the heck with it I'll just add it to the bottom of the list. One of these days I got to do it. ;-)

Its amazing how stumbling on old photographs you forgot about triggers memories. Like seeing Ollie (Russian boy fifth from left, third row) was so proud of Sputnik (first space object) about six months after the photo was taken. He just loved to bring up how 'superior' Soviet science was.

Bill,
Thanks for another great tutorial. I have every one of them printed and filed for reference.
I did have one question and I am sure I am probably the only one having this problem, but when I print the tutorials I often find that some of the pictures are cut in half or less from top to bottom. They don't print as they appear on the page. Maybe my IE page settings are off. Either way I just save them and print them on a separate page and staple them to the end of the tutorial.

Great job Bill!

John

If you mean the top part of a image appears on page one when you print it and the bottom half on page two that's sadily the way HTML was "designed" they didn't think ahead very far. That's why you see a lot of so-called "printer friendly" pages where if you click onsome link it prints just the text. There is no depenable way to force a page break in HTML that works all the time that I know of. Anyone?

The top part of the image appears on one page and the rest is missing from page two, but the writing which was to the right of the picture is now where the rest of the picture was supposed to be on the next page.

BillyBoy...I have a question for you.

Can you give me an e-mail at joncinmn (at) hotmail (dot) com?

No big deal...just a question about your web site.

Jon

Scroll up for my current email.

While I've been putting it off, I guess I'm going to have to get a domain again by next year. Used to be a big time player with all kinds of domains. Didn't really want to go there again. Oh well... My ISP already trippled the normal web space they give customers ($5 per each 10MB extra just did it again yesterday), but it never was really intended as anythning more than personal web space.

Thanks Marquat,

Checking those two boxes worked for me. Bill's tutorial printed fine by just checking the boxes.
