Tutorial on Height Map

Somewhere I saw a tutorial on Height Map where a text overlayed on a movie event (in this case a water wave) meshed the text with the movie and gave the text the appearance of "floating" with the water. I would appreciate it very much if anyone can point me to the right direction. Thank you.

Actually, the tutorial on that particular page is now gone, you need to go via http://www.sundancemediagroup.com/help/kb
You'll find over 100 veg files, tutorials, etc. It's a site for everyone to contribute to, download from, and enjoy. (I hope)
