Tutorial Walkthrough (Sample Projects)

Are there any tutorial walkthroughs online anywhere (from Sony or anywhere else for that matter) that would help getting use to some basics? I know there is a 'Show Me How' section, but I am more looking for a walkthough to create something like the sample project that comes with VMS6 Plat.

The one with the voice overs, city pans, and text comming onto the screen, enlarging, and fading away.

It would be nice to put that project together as I am having a hard time figuring some of the stuff out by trying to rip it apart.

Here are 5 sample tutorials...I think they are for the pro version of Vegas, but still the info might be relevent. Can't hurt to run through them.

EDIT: This site is also a great resource...check out the "free resources" section.

Hey, Well -- thanks for promoting the tutorials. I'd seen them offered on eBay and elsewhere, but never gave 'em much thought, since I didn't know much about what's in 'em. Now I've got a taste for 'em, and I think I want more.

I've looked more closely at training DVDs. I take it that the SONY Seminar Series is different from the VTC training, but that's not 100% clear. Are they the same or different? Which is better?

Lou: I'm not sure what the VTC training is...got a link?

Snow: here are some more sample tutorials.....

Well: Here's a link to a place where one can buy the VTC training. Click on the VTC for more info:

Nice find. At 7 1/2 hours, it seems to be pretty comprehensive. Too bad there isn't any info on who put it together. The seminar series is built by the authors of Vegas.

I bought a book "Instant Vegas Movie Studio + DVD" by Douglas Spotted Eagle and John Rofrano. (ISBN # 1-57820-271-X)
I think it was written for version 5, but it is so similar to ver 6 the instructions are still relevant.
I think that between this book, and all the free tutorials on the Sony site, as well as all the free stuff at Vasst dot com, I will be pretty well covered on mastering this software. If I do go for one of those training CD’s, I am more apt to order one form Vasst. They have some “blowout” prices right now, and I am very pleased with the content of the book I bought. (Pretty sure the Vasst site is Douglas Spotted Eagle’s site)
