Hi
When I upgraded to Vegas 15 I started getting Green frames on HD video where I used Twixter Vr 6 so I then upgraded to Vr 7 and this cured it. I have now just moved over to 4K editing and the problem is back where ever I use Twixter and render as UHD I get flashing green frames sometimes showing on the timeline but there a lot when I render out MPEG4 4K, but which is still ok if I render my 4K footage out as just HD.
Not what I expect with two pieces of pro software and cant work out if its a Vegas or a Twixter issue or how to get around it. There is always a couple of plugins used alongside Twixter.
I contacted Vision Effects Tech Support who came back with this:
Green frame means not enough GPU VRAM.
So resolution of video have an impact on that, as well as running in 8bit versus 32b project, as well as using something else before (even a codec) that uses the GPU.
One thing to try: In Options|Preferences - set Maximum number of rendering threads to a smaller number - even 1. This is used by Vegas to launch simultaneous frame renders so will possibly create a lot more VRAM usage at a given time.
