I've recently updated my two free plugins for Vegas and realised I had a bug in the installers which, many years ago when I tested them with Move Studio when it first came out, made me think they didn't work with Move Studio when, in fact, they work perfectly well!
So, my apologies (better late than never, eh?) 8o)
The plugins consist of two transition effects:
SMCubes - this transitions from from clip to the next by splitting the screen into 3d cubes and spins them around to display the next clip. The number of cubes is set in the transition properties.
SMLuminance - this transition started out as the equivalent of the now included "Gradient Wipe" transition (so users of older versions without "Gradient Wipe" can use this to get the same effect). (For those not familiar with this effect - it simply blends from one clip to the next based on the luminance of a supplied bitmap. i.e. white pixels in the bitmap blend to the next clip first, black pixels blend to the next clip last and shades of grey blend ... somewhere in between).
But later I included an option in the plugin to simulate a film-style optical dissolve. I've had some good feedback that this gives a much nicer effect than the default straight dissolve.

Apologies in advance for the lack of screenshots\tutorials\etc. ... the website is ... errrm ... very basic 8o) but the plugins are quite simple so give them a whirl!
