hmm you can't connect a pc monitor with a firewire cable...

You could plug a camera to the computer using firewire, and then plug an NTSC monitor to the camera and use it to preview the video.

...and if next to a firewire preview via a camcorder or converter (I use Moviebox, the best thing Pinnacle made so far ;) ) you can have 2 monitors by getting a graphics card with two monitor-connectors.. enjoy a very big timeline!

If you use the Firewire with a converter such as Canopus ADVC-100 and connect
to it via the tv set this is the preferred way for Vegas to view. Cards such as the
Matrox dual head will let you look at three more monitors or tvs or Digital Panels.
in many configurations. So basically you can be looking at four monitors at one
time. You godda love this stuff. I am using three right now. I thought four might
be a bit too ostentatious.

Put in a Dual monitor card and a single monitor card, to use it with 2 monitors, use either a dual monitor card, or 2 single monitor cards.
