two mono tracks to one stereo?

Vegas can do almost everything... But I can't figure out how to convert dual mono tracks to a single stereo track.

Is it possible? If not then what is the best work around?

FYI- I receive AAF projects that create mono tracks from the stereo tracks. But they are a pain to edit- it's twice as much work.

thanks,
~Jay

Are you meaning two mono tracks that were originally stereo? Or do you mean just two mono tracks you want to mix into stereo?
If they were stereo, just figure out which one is left and right, choose the 'Pan' envelope on each mono track and set each track, one to extreme left and the other to extreme right and re-render a new wave, then import that in as one stereo wave and replace the mono tracks.
If these need to be done in AAF, I'm unfamiliar with it and don't know what to tell you.

Put them on the same bus.

Too quick there. Go with TGS's idea.

go grab a nifty lil plugin called Beatmodel Vsteredo2d
it creates a phasing stereo ftrack from a mono input.. u can also adjsut width and freq...

actually the beatmodel plugs are prolly the ones i use most..

Thanks for the reply, I was hoping to not have to render new files. What is the esiest way to do it?

I would imagine to solo the two and then render as the selected range?

Well, do you absolutely need them to be a single stereo track? Can't you just leave them as two mono tracks, one panned left and the other panned right? I can't think of any limitations this would impose, other than having to remember to do the same thing to both tracks whenever you make a change.
