Two Questions Before Upgrading to Platinum

After reading all of the positive posts, I'm sure I'll be upgrading to Platinum soon.

Two questions:

1. Will the Platinum version read VMS project files (the .vf files) from the prior version? I'm in the middle of a project, and am wondering if I should finish the project before upgrading, or can I simply open the project in the Platinum version after installing it?

2. Does the Platinum version install over the old version (removing the old files and registry entries), or have people uninstalled the old version before installing the new one?

Yes, VMS Platinum read the VF2, SBMS3 and VMS4 files.
It's a safe option to finish the project before upgrading, but the VMS 6 is so powerful
and flexible that you may want to work on it with better features and faster workflow.

No, installed it as VMS6 and you can have version4 and 6 running.

Take note that when you uninstall version 4 with version 6 already installed.
Keep the shared files. If encountered problem, re-install the VMS Platinum
again would solved these problems.
