Hi Dan,

I bought a Shuttle Pro and had extensive issues trying to use it with Vegas Pro 9e (64bit) , but I felt the issue was with Win 7. I had a considerable amount of emailing with the Shuttle Pro tech guys around the issue, downloaded & installed older & newer drivers at their suggestion, but could only ever get it working by installing the Shuttle pro instal files immediately prior to the session where I used it (it then worked fine), but next time I fired up Windows/Vegas - not operational. After lots of effort, I've given up. Interesting whether I wrongly believed it was a Win 7 (64bit) issue and maybe it is Vegas - I've no idea!

I have it working on two win7-64 computers. I think the only issue has been that there wasn't a profile for newer versions of Vegas, but I think that Vegas itself might come with a profile that you can use.

Yes, I have it working here too. Open the Shuttle Pro Control Panel, Options/Import settings, then browse to the V11 folder in Programs and there is a .pref file for each Contour device.

Hi Peter.

Interested in your (positive) experience with teh Shuttle Pro. I also followed this process of identifying and importing the .pref file (albeit using Vegas 9.0e), but as reported, I could not get the Shuttle Pro recognised for subsequent sessions (I had to go through the set up with .pref file each time I used Vegas - then it worked flawlessley (for that session only !!). Tried lots, Shuttle Pro tech support were responsive, but we couldn't nail the issue. Clearly something with my Sony Vaio setup/Win 64 and I really didn't consider it a Vegas issue. Anyway, can still use the Shuttle, just need to allocate an extra 5 mins to get set up!

That's strange Duncan - what a pain to have to do that each time. Do you use the Shuttle Pro with other programs? - just wondering if another program's preferences are getting "stuck" instead of the Vegas ones loading.

In answere to the Raylight question (I do not use the shuttle so cannot comment).

I use Raylight Ultra 1.4.?. It works fine with Vegas Pro 11.

There was a problem with the installer not placing the file "DVFilm.fio2007-config" in the Vegas 11 folder. Since the older Raylight Installer did not yet know about VP11 I think that was reasonable. I copied the file from the VP 10 folder and all was well.

I understand the latest version of Rayliught is VP11 aware and will install the file correctly.

Willem.

Re Shuttle Pro.
What's a profile and where is it?
Not an intuitive technical thinker here.

It's the Vegas-specific instructions for the unit.
Peter Wright told you where to find it in his first post so you must have skipped over it.

Dan Sherman:
Try turning off the "User Account Control" in Windows. This messes with a lot of third party stuff. That corrected my problem with the shuttle pro.

Well that was simple Mike.
That gets tacked to the wall.
Up and running with Shuttle Pro, finally.
Felt like a one-armed editor without it.
(Not that there's anything wrong with that)
