How many more OFF TOPIC posts are you going to make without indicating they're off topic so people that don't wish to see crap won't waste their time looking at crap?

BB How many times are you going to thread crap on a thread. I do agree that his title should contain a OT: , even better, would be a OT forum, But your thread crapping is a bigger anoyance then his mislead posts. And last time i checked, your not the Forum police. STOP THREAD CRAPPING. Let Sony handle what is acceptable and unacceptble. Ive defended you in private and in public and agree with many of you views, BUT STOP THREAD CRAPPING

In life, there are things that will always remain constant. Death. Taxes. and BB.
BillyBoy wrote on 4/5/2005, 12:43 PM
You forgot another constant: Forum rules don't apply to shamlessly promoting yourself if your name is Douglas or one of his pals doing it for him. That's called forum crapping.

At least with normal spam you can get a spam blocker. Here, its in your face, no warning, day after day and Sony moderators pretend not to notice. If people have to post off topic crap, they should at least put OT at the head of the subject line so those of us sick of seeing one guy constantly promote himself can avoid it.

Suggestion: Put OT Douglas SPAM in front of posts that ARE SPAM from Douglas or his pals.

DSE posts are the ones I've learned the most from on this forum. The only thing I've bought at his recommendation is the Ultimate-S plugin and I've found it invaluable. Often he is the only one who even responds to whatever my latest problem is. I can't imagine how anyone would find any of his posts anything less than first class. By the way, as much I like the guy, I've never met him and could hardly call myself one of his Pals.

No irony there, now is there?
FrigidNDEditing wrote on 4/5/2005, 1:55 PM
Sorry BB, it was late and I forgot - I've been a little scatterbrained lately

and I didn't post it for DSE, I posted it for MEEEEEEEEE

I had recently added an entry and wanted to take out Vegas 6 (at 200 votes - yea right)

:)

Simmer down BB, just have some fun - that's part of what forums are for.

I serious doubt you forgot, because it seems you always "forget" to put OT in front of your OT post.

I do have fun.... like now when I point out the hypocrisy of some posters. For example when you got bent out of shape when you asked for a critique and you got very defensive when people were nice enough to take the time to offer you suggestions to make your project better. I guess I should have just told you to simmer down. :)

No Billy, that’s called allowing 3rd parties that support and endorse your product to survive and flourish. Sony understands that the more 3rd party support they have, the better it is for their customers. VASST provides training that benefits the Sony user community. The VASST contests incite new ideas and allow us to demonstrate to each other new ways of using Vegas. They are a benefit to the community and shows that the community is active and interested in sharing ideas. It’s unfortunate you don’t see it this way.

From this day forth (at least in my mind anyway)... Billyboy will be foreverafter known by the "affectionate" term of "Mr Angry".

Mr Angry will always find some reason to feel he must spread his angry feelings on any thread that he likes. Why? Because he wouldn't be Mr Angry then would he... and then where would we all be?

p.s for Grazie... the "Mr Angry" I have in mind here comes from an old BBC Radio 1 afternoon show in the 80's - know what I mean?
busterkeaton wrote on 4/5/2005, 4:16 PM
I figured you worked in the tar paper shack district.
FrigidNDEditing wrote on 4/5/2005, 5:16 PM
MrAngry - that's appropriate.
BB - as I recall you did say to simmer down - in not such a nice way ;)

As it seems then you should be happy that I post OT stuff w/o posting OT in the title because it helps you to be happy by pointing out my hypocrisy - we have a nice relationship going here. I post something that I want to know or am excited about, and you tell me I'm a hypocrite, or that DSE's a hypocrite, or that John Cline's a hypocrite. So in reality - you NEED me ;) I'm giving you an outlet for your anger so you don't die of a stroke ;)

sorry that's a little harsh maybe, but somedays Billy (or Mr. Angry) it seems that you don't know how to just be nice.

It will be nice when Vegas 6 is out so this board can go back to talking about the product again...

Perhaps Sony could speed up the release to get some peace on this forum?

:O]
PeterWright wrote on 4/5/2005, 5:58 PM
I think I've got the solution. BB puts us all in his ignore list.
vicmilt wrote on 4/5/2005, 7:15 PM
Hey Wright -

I like that concept - ignoring an Entire Forum site !

Wow ! what a great idea... imagine being able to drop THAT into a conversation at the old water fountain -

"Huh! I have the entire forum ignored~! Log on every day - sometimes two or three times a day - and IGNORE the whole bunch!"

I LOVE IT !

Thanks for a great laugh!

I just see the same guys acting up. Nothing is more funny than a bunch of thirty or forty something men jumping up and down like a bunch of eight year olds on Christmas morning unable to wait to open their presents. It happends just before every new release. Oh, oh, I found this out on such and such web site. Oh I can hardly wait. Oh, oh, please somebody tell us more. Wait, I found another magazine article. Oh, oh. You guys put on quite a show.

You think you are professionals? Yea right. Very. ROTFLMAO!

If an Off Topic post is indicated as OT and not designated as Off Topic by spelling out the word Off Topic, is it the same as spelling out the word Off Topic instead of just using the inititals OT?
Moreover, if the topic is actually On Topic and one uses the letters OT before the post does it constitute the same irrelevance as if it were NOT labeled as OT meaning On Topic, but not designated as such because of the potential for confusion?
Now, conversely, if neither OT meaning On Topic or OT meaning On Topic were used would one be able to distinguish between a real OT or a false OT depending upon which of the two spellings you attribute the OT to?

See what I mean?

John
Chienworks wrote on 4/5/2005, 7:36 PM
John, according to standard forum convention, any topic not labelled "OT" is automatically assumed to be "OT".

I hope this clears up your confusion.

Carry on.
Coursedesign wrote on 4/5/2005, 7:37 PM
John,

Your post is not OT.

It's OD.
