I would be interested in it if you could actually buy an HD DVD burner to author with. They seem to not exist!

The interesting thing is they are announcing a tool for HD-DVD authoring.

Yea, but I’ve been look for an HD-DVD burner to compare them to the Blu-ray prices and they seem to not exist! Does anyone know of a store that carries them?

I'm interested in the fact that Ulead has at least something to write HD-DVD discs that doesn't cost 50k.

I believe I posted a few weeks ago that BestBuy had HD DVD burners for like $600.

How about a link? ‘cuz all I can find at BestBuy are players. No burners.

It's interesting, but bear in mind that they originally announced BD authoring 2 years ago and then retracted it later.
Ulead, now Intervideo, now Corel, is working quite hard to keep up on top of the burning world, as it's a very important segment of the industry for them.

That's a Blu-Ray burner, not an HD-DVD burner.

Only marginally. ;-)

I'm still waiting to see how the competing formats shake out. (Also waiting for prices in general to drop.)
