Johnny Roy talks about this in another thread:
http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/forums/ShowMessage.asp?MessageID=648839&Replies=119

Here is what he said:

We have Ultimate S Pro 4.1 working with Vegas Pro 9.0 in 32-bit and 64-bit mode and have been demoing it at NAB 2009 all this week. It is also backward compatible with Vegas Pro 8.1. We actually held off releasing the 8.1 64-bit update because we wanted to be sure that it worked in 9.0 64-bit as well. The update will be available for free to all existing Ultimate S Pro customers before Vegas Pro 9.0 ships so no worries.

That's good to know... thanks. I was also hoping that shortly after the Vegas release there would be US Pro and/or Excalibur upgrades with a number of "goodies" offered to increase the fun. It seems that Vegas 9 doesn't have a lot of new "fun" things, so I'm hoping that US Pro and Excalibur will cover that.

Not complaining about the Vegas side of things, as right now I'd much rather that Sony address the stability and systems' issues, but it's always exciting to see new features like when the colored snap guides came out, or when US Pro had MotoFoto, etc.

I have tested Excalibur 6 in both Vegas 9-32 and Vegas 9-64 and it continues to work fine in both versions. No need for extra $ to keep running Excalibur.

The same is true for Ultimate S Pro. We've got it up and running and will be releasing the new version sometime this week. That will also work with Vegas Pro 8.1 which I know some of you were waiting for. Apologies for it taking so long but I wanted it to work in a way that didn't break Vegas Pro 9. ;-)
