You need to go to the download section of the VASST web site and download Ultimate S Pro 4.1 to get Vegas Pro 9.0 support. If you are using Vista 64 you will also need to send VASST an email (to ultimatesupport) to get a private link to the extras package that you get when you buy it (not part of the public download).

Ultimate S Pro and Production Assistant are two separate products. The former focuses on interactive editing tools while the later is focused on batch processing tools. Both continue to be supported and enhanced.

JR,
Do you need this private link for the extra package to run on Vista 64 FOR VEGAS 8.1. In otherwords is it a Vegas 9 thing or a Vista 64 thing? Thanks for all your help.

It's a Vista 64 thing because the security model is tighter. Vista 32 seems to be OK.

Does the Vista64 problem also apply to Gearshift v1.8? I simply can't get it to work, when it goes to convert the files I get an "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error. I've tried it in v8.0, v8.1, v9.0-32 and v9.0-64 under Vista64 SP2. It works fine under WinXP SP3.

Hi John, GearShift 1.8 should work with Vista 64 bit and Vegas Pro 9.0. Send us an email to ultimatesupport with information on exactly how to reproduce the problem and we'll look into it.
