"Un-squeeze" ?

I shot this concert with 2 HD cameras. Client has footage they shot in SD 4:3 they want me to edit in. I know I can change the aspect ration to fit the screen, but when he shot it it's squeeze to fit (yes... everyone looks skinny now... but that's not my jurisdiction). Anyone know any tricks to "un-squeeze" and get everyone back to their original size???

Open the event's pan/crop selection. In the far left toolbar, disable the 'Lock Aspect Ratio (Hold Control to Override' icon. Then, in the Settings toolbar under the Source heading, change 'Maintain aspect ratio:' field to 'no'.

You can then use the left or right frame handles on the pan/crop's workspace to stretch the image out horizontally - thus unsqueezing the image.

I am a bit confused by your post. Can you please clarify:

  1. MediaInfo of your HD source material
  2. MediaInfo of the client's SD 4:3 material
  3. Your project settings
  4. The final delivery format; codec, bitrate and aspect ratio.
