unable to advance capture

I have been unable to use advance capture with sony video capture 6.0
I set a timecode in and out but always get the "timecode that was entered cannot be found" error message. The timecode is there I can see it. Is there something I'm missing??

Do you have continuous t/c on your DV tape at SP speed without breaks in it?

Using firewire, try a test, record a new 2min. sample from the start of a tape at SP speed, and try advance capturing that..
