Unable to burn to DVD with Architect Studio 2

Brand new to this forum, so don't know exactly how to post for help. I just bought Vegas Movie Studio 4.0 (and upgraded to 4.0a) and have been unable to burn to DVD. I've followed the manual to a T and yet when I try to burn using Architect Studio 2.0 I get to about 7% done and then get an error message: Module sfmmcx.cpp Line 1639A hardware error occurred. Unknown Additional Sense 08 03
Can anyone help me? I've also tried burning in Nero, which came with my Sony DVD 720A burner. I'm using a DVD-R disc. Thanks alot.

Where you able to burn successfully in Nero?

No, I wasn't able to burn with Nero either. I'm Pretty sure its something I'm doing wrong and not a hardware or software problem. I've rendered my project and saved it to a MPEG file but still can't seem to figure out how to burn it to a DVD. Getting frustrated. Any thing anyone can do to help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.

I have finally figured out how to burn a DVD using Nero but have still not been able to burn using the Architect Suite yet. Does anyone have any ideas? Or is using the Nero software just as good? Thanks

Using Nero to burn the resulting files from DVDAS can be just as good if not better than DVDAS. There have been at least a few reports on the DVDA forum of people that had compatability problems with DVDA and DVDAS burns, but those problems went away when burning with Nero.
