Unable to capture with VX2000

I am able to capture with digital 8 cam via firewire but get no divice connected when I change to vx2000. The vx2000 will input to my REx Edit on a separate computer as will the dig8. Switching from a working dig8 into pyro to VV3 to the vx2000 produces a "please connect a device" in vidcap. I don't recall installing any device driver for the dig8. I use Win2k pro on an athlon 1.4 ghz.

I use a VX2000 with vv3, no problems. Win2k, Athlon 950.

More details on what is happening to you needed.

When I plug in VX-2000 the Connection Wizard sees new hardware And no connection with vidcap on the VX-2000. I can get the VX-1000 to work if I first connect it to a turned on Dig8 camera which will show a connection to a Microsoft DV camcorder, and then unplug the firewire and plug it into a turned on VX-1000. This procedure does not work for the VX-2000.

Device manager Has under Sound, video and game cont
Legacy video capture devices
and under IEEE 1394 Host cont
OHCI Compliant IEE#....

NON TI drivers from adstech Pyro are installed.

According to Adstech Pyro website the vx-1000 is compatible but nothing is said about the Vx-2000.

I have Win2k Pro SP2, (I upgraded to SP2 when I had trouble with vidcap.)
Athlon 1400, 3D Prophet 4500, DEskstar 7200rpm, VV3a (build 107)

ADStech tech support solved my problem quickly with phone support. When I deleted all files for dvcam drivers and setup the problem was solved. The dvcam drivers are TI drivers and cause problems.

That's correct, the device should show up in Device Manager under "Imaging Devices", while on Video Capture's Video menu as "Microsoft DV Camera and VCR"
