I think the problem is that I have DVD Architect Studio 5.0. The cheap version... I'm guessing that 6.0 is the version of DVD Arch. Pro. Too bad for me: there's a nasty bug in the latest 5.0 build.

Version 5 serial will not work with 6.I assume you have downloaded the latest version of 5.
As reported in another thread: I put my .m2v files in a Music/Video Compilation and DAS says it'll use 10.3GB of space. But the actual file is more than 25GB. I have experimented and found that 25GB is probably correct. (If I do a playlist instead of compilation, DAS does say it'll be 25GB.) So the workaround is to ignore DAS on the file size. So I'm re-rendering with some compression, which takes a long long time.
PS: I prefer compilation because my blu-ray player doesn't do readahead, so the transitions are slow, plus the player shows some stupid graphics at each new chapter.

Bill, there are bitrate calculators that will help you determine what bitrate to use to render your videos. Saving you a lot of time by just guessing.
File size is determined by length of program and rendered bitrate. DVDA is known for giving the wrong file sizes. Don't waste your time using it for the math. Use a bitrate calculator.
