Unable to exit Full Screen Preview

Hi, I've just registered and had a look through the forum but couldn't find my issue.

I've been using Sony Vegas Pro 13 for a few weeks now and love it. I've had no problems with any functions and have rendered a few vlogs of my motorbike! The problem I started having last night is that I can't exit the full screen preview no mattr what I press - the video plays happily on my screen but I can't stop it or even pause it. I have to CTRL-ALT-DELETE to get back to my PC. I used to be able to simply press ESC but now it just seems to lock everything down.

Does anyone know a solution to this? The only thing I can think of is that I didn't have my laptop plugged into power and was using the battery only! I will check tonight with power plugged in to see if that makes a difference, but my laptop is very powerful and has never had problems in the past.

The problem is even occcuring on projects I've previously been working on and rendered in the past! It just doens't make sesne.

Please help!!!

has some other program taken over esc?

i had problems with ditto (clipbard app) taking over esc and ctr+l

Before pressin the ESC button, you must gat focus in the playback screen - just click you r left mouse button in it.

I have the same issue in Vegas Pro 17. Unable to exit from full screen, even task manager also unable to take from the windows.

+1 "[i]Try Alt + Shift +4.[/i]" aka, "Preview on external monitor", which enables full screen preview when an external monitor is absent

Hi,

For everyone who can't exit full screen preview with "Esc" OR "Alt+Shift+4".

I experience this issue with 1920 X 1080 Mp4s on a laptop when the preview quality is set to Best Full. I'm forced to change it to Half so I can use "Esc" or the "Space Bar" to exit when previewing that file type on that comp.

Set your Preview Quality to (Auto) for any of the four options, Draft, Preview, Good or Best. Whichever setting allows you to exit is what you'll need to use for that specific file type and that hardware configuration. Preview Quality will be diminished for any setting below Best Full, but hopefully it will be adequate enough for previewing that particular content.

Also, if the preview segment is short enough to sit through till the end (and since there is no "End of Project" marker or function), it's a good idea to always select a region first which will dump you out when it reaches the end.
