Unable to export to Quicktime

I am unable to render to a Quicktime. Although on my system Quicktime 7.1 Pro installed and properly works for more than a year, VMS 8 Platinum says There is not (proper??) installation of Quicktime 7.0.4 or above found. Any ideas what could be wrong?

Reinstalling quicktime helped... now I can render quicktime movies as expected.

Have you tried the real-codec? I like the result just a bit more, and it is also faster than quicktime.
